iPod touch 4G could be available in flat black

Apple just released the iPod touch 4G recently to rave reviews. It sold as many as 700 units in some stores in the first three days of it's release. No surprises considering all the new features.

As per usual Apple will certainly be releasing more options as far as colors go. And one of those options could be a flat black, which seems to becoming very popular especially on cars. So why not add it to the iPod lineup?

It will be different than the Apple iPhone 4 because it could feature a stainless steel back cover. As of right now these are just rumors but I wouldn't be surprised if Apple pulled the trigger on this one. They love to add all kinds of different and unique colors to the iPod lineup and flat black would definitely be a great option for consumers.

China to get the iPhone 4 Sept. 25th

Apple is looking to expand into one of the largest markets in the world. On September 25th, the iPhone 4 will be released in China. The 16GB model will sell for $745 and the 32GB model will sell for $893, without contracts.

Apple has expanded into many countries and China was obviously a good choice considering the huge population.

As it stands right now Apple has two stores in the country, one at Sanlitun in the Chaoyang District of Beijing and the other in the Pudong District of Shanghai. They are also opening up two more stores on the same day as the release, one in Shanghai's Hong Kong Plaza and another in Beijing's Xidan Joy City. Apple will surely see a huge amount of sales over the next 2 months.

Costco stacked to the brim with new iPod

If you're wanting the new iPod touch 4G, but are having a hard time finding one then you may want to head over to Costco. Apparently they're stocked up on the 8GB model and all nano models. In Los Angeles anyways.

The new iPod touch has been selling like Ric Flair over the past 3 days. Some Apple stores are reporting selling over 700 units in that time frame. Those are some good numbers, which Apple has been doing a lot of lately. The iPad and iPhone 4 were back to back the two most successful launches in Apples history.

It's no surprise the new iPod is selling so well, it's quite the little unit. It's basically just like an iPhone 4 less the phone capabilities. But the cool thing is that it has facetime capabilities. It uses WiFi and you can connect with not only other iPod touch units with the same function, but iPhone 4s as well. Apple has done an amazing job of integrating all their products with each other. And once the new iPad comes out with it's front facing camera, it will almost get to a point where al you'll need are Apple products to communicate. Talk about a great set up.

iPhone 4 antenna issue fading

A little while back there was quite a stir being caused by the antenna problem with the iPhone 4. People were up in arms over the fact that their brand new iPhones were dropping calls.

Apple scrambled to fix the problem. First by offering free cases, then with an iOS update they said improved signal strength. These seemed like just band aids and were alright temporary solutions but something more needed to be done.

But as time has gone by, the problem seems to be fading. Less people are reporting dropped calls. And reports came out saying that there were no more dropped calls with the iPhone 4 than there were with the iPhone 3GS. Lots of possible reasons exist. AT&T could have very well been over their head with too many customers and not a good enough infrastructure. Then there's the whole media possibility. There's no doubt that there are a ton more media outlets now, like blogs, to blow stories out of proportion than there were several years ago when the iPhone 3GS came out.

eWeek.com has come up with 10 reasons why the problem is fading from our memory. It's definitely worth checking out, here's the link.

New iPod touch almost like an iPhone 4

So last week Steve Jobs unveiled the new iPod touch, and it looks a heck of a lot like the iPhone 4. As a matter of fact, a lot of people are saying it's just like the iPhone 4 minus the phone capabilities. Sign me up for one, that's for sure.

First off, ot has front and rear facing cameras, which makes it compatible for Facetime, it works via the WiFi connection. The 3.5 inch retina display is almost on par with the iPhone 4, so the screen is basically as good as the iPhone 4. You can also record HD video, minus the flash.

It's a little thinner and shorter than the iPhone 4, but that's almost a good thing. All in all, the new touch is a near match to the iPhone 4. Not exactly sure when they'll be released but I'm sure I'll be getting one.

Don't have the iPhone 4 yet? Don't worry about it. If you'd like a chance to win an iPhone 4, click here.

White iPhone 4 may be out as late as January of 2011

The white iPhone 4 has been highly anticipated. Now it seems that people who want it may have to wait until next year to get it.

There are reports coming out that Apple may wind up releasing the white iPhone 4 as late as January of 2011. Who knows what the hold up is, but it's frustrating people (including me, I love white iPhones and I want this one bad).

The initial thought was that the white iPhone 4 was going to be released by the end of July. But that rumor was quickly squashed. Apple then made a statement that it would be out later this year, how vague.

It could be that Apple wants to make sure they have fixed any problems with the antenna before they issue any new iPhones. This kind of jives with the fact that some news was leaked that Apple would be bringing out new iPhones with the antenna problem fixed at the end of this month.

Anyways, everyone has waited this long and it looks like they wait will still be on for some time. If you don't have an iPhone 4 and you'd like one, here's your chance. Click here to enter to win an iPhone 4.

Possible iPhone 4 hardware revision

The whole antennagate fiasco left a dark cloud over Apple and the new iPhone 4. But there could be a solution on the horizon.

It seems as though a top executive for Mexican carrier Telcel recently announced that his company will launch the iPhone 4 on Friday August 27th. He also stated in his press release that Apple is going to release an off cycle hardware revision that will fix the antenna issues and improve reception. The press releases states September 30, 2010 as the day the new hardware will ship, which coincides with the expiration of the free case offer Apple had come up with.

There has been no confirmation of the possible upcoming fix from Apple however. Telcel is an authorized Apple dealer but this possible fix has to be confirmed before it holds any legitimacy, obviously. Lots of people will be keeping an ear out for any announcements from Apple in the coming weeks.
